Do you know Hello Kitty and Mimmy, her sister? I’m sure you do. But do you know where they live and what they like to do? No? Well, in a few minutes, you are going to know everything about these cute little sisters! So... Kitty and Mimmy live in London, in a lovely house with their parents. They like to play all day and have exciting adventures. They share things with their friends and they learn new things every day, like why do they have to wash their hands before breakfast, lunch and dinner and why do they have to say “please” and “thank you”. I think that’s all... if you take from the British Council Library the DVDs with Hello Kitty, you are going to know more exciting things about her. Now, let’s get to my story... I hope you will enjoy it! :)
It was a lovely day of summer. Kitty, Mimmy and their parents decided to go to Paris.
Kitty and Mimmy were very excited! They made their backpacks and the next day, they were ready. The two sisters with their mom and dad went to the airport. Their luggage was taken by two dogs who were from the airport. Kitty, Mimmy, mom and dad entered the plane. When they got to Paris, something terrible happened... Kitty, Mimmy and their parents found out that they lost their luggage! Don’t laugh, this thing could happen anytime without even knowing it! And think about how it is to lose all your favorite things, like your diary, your favorite book that you read it many times, your favorite toy... imagine that! You will be crying and crying and crying... hey, are you going to cry for two years??? Anyway, let’s get back to my story... So, as I was saying, Kitty, Mimmy and their mom and dad lost their luggage. “What?! But how can that be?” Kitty’s father asked, suprised. “I’m sorry, mister, but I simply can’t find your luggage!” a dog said, who was from the airport, too. Kitty and Mimmy remained silently with the mouths open wide. “But, but... that means I lost my diary and all the other things?” Mimmy asked, almost crying. “Don’t cry, Mimmy! If something is missing, you know what that means?” Kitty asked. “There is a new mission for Kitty and Mimmy!” Mimmy said, hopping up and down. Suddenly, a goat from the airport came. “Excuse me, I must tell you something! A thief stole some luggages. It may be yours!” the goat said. “Which way did that thief went?” Kitty asked. “It went to that way. If you follow him, you will get in Paris.” the goat said. “Great! Come on, Kitty!” Mimmy said. “Wait, girls! Where are you going?” their mom asked. “To take our luggage back, of course! Don’t worry, we can do this all alone! You will see!” Kitty said and she ran after Mimmy.
After they ran a little, Kitty stopped. “Kitty? What’s wrong?” Mimmy asked. “Paris is really big! How are we going to find the thief?” Kitty asked. “Don’t worry! We can ask anyone from here if they saw the thief.” Mimmy said. “Good idea!” Kitty said. But the idea wasn’t so good after all... nobody saw the thief. “Where could he be?” Kitty asked, worried. “No diary, nothing at all... it’s the worst thing in the whole world!!!” Mimmy screamed. “Stop screaming! We can’t give up! It must be somewhere!” Kitty said. “There it is!” Mimmy screamed, pointing to a guy with some luggage in his hands. “What did I told you about screaming? Wait a minute... Hey, you’re right! Quick, follow him!” Kitty said. The two sisters ran after the thief. He was carrying the luggage... do you wonder how could he carry the heavy luggage? I can’t believe that, too... :o Anyway... So, Kitty and Mimmy were following the thief. “I’m too tired to ran anymore! Go ahead while I’m resting for a minute.” Kitty said and sat on a bench. Mimmy was still running after the thief. But, when she fell down, the thief turned around. When he saw Mimmy so little, he started to laugh. “A little kitten following me? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Oh, please, tell me that this is a joke!” the thief said. “Give our luggage back! And, by the way, I’m not a baby anymore even if I’m little. I’m going to school, if you want to know.” Mimmy said. But the thief was not listening. He was laughing and lauhing and laughing and laughing... Mimmy got bored. “Are you going to stop laughing? I need the luggage back!” Mimmy said. Finally, the thief stopped laughing. He went closer and closer and closer to Mimmy until she fell down. “Nobody can’t take this luggage away from me!” the thief said. Then he took Mimmy with him. “Hey, what are you doing? Kitty, help me! HEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!” Mimmy screamed. But Kitty didn’t hear her. When Kitty got up and started to look for Mimmy, she didn’t find her anywhere. “Mimmy! Mimmy! Mimmy, where are you? Oh, no! First, I lost the luggage and now, I lost my sister! Hey, what are these footprints?” Kitty asked, herself. On the ground, there were some muddy footprints. Without observing, the thief stepped on the mud and he let some footprints. Kitty followed the footprints until she got to a secret door. She entered inside and she found a secret lab. “Hmmmm, maybe this is the thief’s secret place.” Kitty said. Soon she heard someone coming. “I must hide somewhere!” Kitty said and she hid after a suitcase. “Help, help! Put me down, you monster!” a voice said. Kitty turned around to see what is happening. She saw the thief and... ”Mimmy!” Kitty said. “You will stay here for a while and I’m off to get some another suitcases and backpacks!” the thief said. He tied Mimmy on a chair and left the secret lab. Kitty jumped from behind the suitcase. Mimmy was suprised to see Kitty. “Kitty, what are you doing here?” Mimmy asked. “I’m getting you out of here! Then we must follow the thief and stop him!” Kitty said.
When Mimmy was free, the two sisters went out from the secret place and they stopped the thief as he was leaving a street. “Quick, Mimmy, call the police!” Kitty said, holding the thief on the ground. The policemen got just in time. “Well, well, well, look who we’ve got here. Finally you are trapped! Get in the car, get in the car!” one of the policeman said. “Thank you, girls, you’ve been so brave!” another policeman said. After that, all the policemen left. Kitty and Mimmy took their backpacks and the suitcases.
When they got back to the airport, their mom and dad were very happy! “Congratulations, girls! Thank you for taking the luggage back!” their parents said. Kitty and Mimmy were very proud... and tired, too! Saving the world from a thief who wanted to steal every luggage from all the people is a very hard work! At least everything was okay! Kitty, Mimmy and their parents had a great time at Paris! :)
I think you don’t know the answer to this question: why did the thief want to steal all the luggage in the world? It’s quite simple! But, if you want to know the answer, you must tell your parents: “Mom, dad, don’t look on my computer for a while because I’m reading a top secret answer!” You got it? Okay, so, here is the answer: you know that all the people are taking with them their favorite things (some of them are special, too!). Well, the thief wanted to have all the special things just for him! I know, I know, it’s a stupid and strange idea, but this is real, believe me! Imagine: the thief, laughing, when he reads your diary! Why is he laughing? Another simple answer! For example: he reads the part when you made something horrible for you and funny for the others! Imagine...
