Long, long ago, The Zumbuddies didn’t exist. All the Webkinz pets were sad because they were lonely. They wanted a buddy. One day Puffy, Kanga, Rabby, Cheetah, Rainbow, Buldog, Boing Boing, Antie, Husky, Peacy, Trompi, Teddy, Baghera, Linda and Max, fifteen good friends, wanted to find buddies for all the pets in Webkinz World. Suddenly, Alyssa, a pretty fairy, appeared. She knew many things that nobody heard ever before. “Hello, my dear ones! Are you looking for buddies?” she asked. “Yes! Do you know where we could find some?” Puffy asked. “I read in a book that there is a secret land far away from here, above the clouds, next to the sun.” Alyssa said. “How can we get there?” Kanga asked. “With a hot air balloon, of course. I could help you to make one!” Alyssa said. They made a big hot air balloon with all the colors of the rainbow. “There! Now you can go to the land.” Alyssa said. “But aren’t you coming with us?” Rabby asked. “No, I can’t. I’m very busy. Today I have a lot of visitors to catch stars! But, don’t worry, you’re gonna be okay. Good luck, everybody!” Alyssa said and flew away. The Webkinz pets flew away, too, with the hot air balloon. They reached to the clouds and they were getting closer to the sun. They couldn’t see anything because the sun was too bright. Suddenly, some pairs of sunglasses appeared on each of the Webkinz pets. “Now it’s much better! I think Alyssa made the spell...” Cheetah said. Soon, next to the sun, they saw a wonderful land full of some creatures flying. They were butterflies, but they were a little bit strange! Their head was big, they had eyes and mouth and, on the top of the head, they had cute antennas. Their body was colorful, they had arms and they had tiny legs! They were six different categories of butterflies in that land: lazy ones, bratty, peeking etc. The Webkinz pets landed with the hot air balloon on a cloud. “Hello, everybody!” Rainbow shouted. The butterflies stopped flying and looked at them. “What kind of creatures are you?” asked one of the butterflies. “We are animals! And you’re butterflies, no?” Buldog asked. “Butterflies? That’s ridiculous! We’re not butterflies, we are Zumbuddies!” said another of the Zumbuddies. “But you’re looking just like butterflies!” Boing Boing said. “Yeah, you’re right! The birds are saying that we are half butterflies!” said a yellow Zumbuddy. “Why did you come here, anyway?” a Zumbuddy asked. “Well, in the Webkinz World, our world, we want buddies and a fairy told us about your secret land!” Antie said. “So, can you come with us?” Husky asked. “Well, we have to talk with our king!” a Zumbuddy said. The king appeared and the Webkinz pets told him what they wanted to do. “Hmmmm, let’s make a race between you and four Zumbuddies, Flora, Lilly, Zammy and Zumy. You have to: 1) cross the river and take some sweet rocks when you get to the other side of the river and 2) go in the forest and in a big hole you gonna find some sticks and you have to take them. The first team back wins. If the Zumbuddies gonna win, you can’t take them to your land, but if you win, you can! Ready, steady, go!” the king annouced. The Webkinz pets started to run and the Zumbuddies were flying. Flora and Lilly were flying slowly because they were Lazy Zums. “Come on, hurry up, you don’t want to lose the race, don’t you?” Zumy said. The Webkinz pets got to the river and jumped on the rocks and they took the sweet rocks. Actually the sweet rocks were jellybeans, but that’s what they called the Zumbuddies. The Zumbuddies and the Webkinz pets met in the big hole. They took the sticks and ran (and flew, too) back. The Webkinz pets won the race. “Hooray for us!” Peacy and Trompi shouted. “Well, I guess you can take the Zumbuddies to your land!” the king said, laughing. “Well done!” Zammy said. The Webkinz pets got in the hot air balloon and the Zumbuddies flew down. All the Webkinz saw them and cheered. All the Webkinz pets were happy. “Hello, everybody! We brought you new buddies!” Teddy, Baghera, Linda and Max shouted. Everybody took a Zumbuddy as a friend. Puffy, Kanga, Rabby, Cheetah and Rainbow took Lilly, Buldog, Boing Boing, Antie, Husky, Peacy and Trompi took Zumy, Teddy and Baghera took Flora and Linda and Max took Zammy. Now everyone was happy and they never felt alone again!
