It was summer. It was very sunny and beautiful outside! But Teodora and Miriam were bored...Why? All their best friends were gone in different places: Vlad was at Disneyland to take autographs from his favorite characters, Teodora and Andreea went to the seaside with their mother and their dog, Teddy, and Cezara and Rares were in Paris with Cezara’s parents. What a pity that the two sisters, Teodora and Miriam, weren’t going anywhere that summer...
One day, Teodora decided to go in an expedition with Miriam. “This expedition will be great!” Teodora shouted happily. “But don’t we have to tell mom and dad where are we going? They could get mad or worry if we don’t tell them...” Miriam said, who was unsure about the expedition. “Oh, no, Miriam, this expedition is top secret! Nobody has to know about it!” Teodora said.
After a while, Miriam told her parents about the expedition. Teodora sighed. What can you expect from a little girl who is only four? But luckily, mom and dad let Teodora and Miriam to go in their expedition. Teodora took toys with magic powers: Hello Kitty, Totally Spies, Winx and Witch, a little blue box with a unicorn which kept strange spells in it, her favorite toy, Piglet, wearing a pink and violet T-shirt, and her magic pink scarf. Oh, and, of course, The Pink and White Cat and The Spotted Leopard Kinz Klips...Teodora put all these things in her Angelina Ballerina pink rucksack.
What about Miriam? She took thousands of toys, delicious elephant biscuits, Kinder chocolate and more toys...Miriam put her things in the other rucksack with Angelina Ballerina, a blue one...Everything was ready (well, almost)...Mom give Teodora and Miriam their food: sandwiches with cheese and meat, four slices of pizza (yummy!), two slices of chocolate pancake (made by dad) and a slice of strawberry cake for each other (double yummy!). Teodora and Miriam put all the food in their lunch boxes. Teodora had a green box with Shrek and Miriam had another pink box (not so big as Teodora’s) with The Little Prince.
Mom and dad said goodbye to Teodora and Miriam and then, the two sisters left their house. They promised that the expedition wouldn’t take so much...By the way, mom and dad would take care of their daughters (they had magic powers)...Nobody, but absolutely nobody, didn’t know about this...Not even Teodora and Miriam!...
The two sisters walked for many hours. Teodora wasn’t tired at all, but Miriam was...She started to ask questions (silly ones for Teodora)...”Teo, where are we going to sleep every night?”. “Outside, of course. Dad gave me a tent, big enough for both of us.” Teodora said. “Are you sure that we have plenty of food for the whole expedition?”. “Yes, don’t worry about this thing!”. “Do we have bathrooms in a forest, for an example?” Miriam asked. “Absolutely not! The bushes are going to be our new bathrooms!” Teodora said. Miriam gulped. How strange!...”Are the wild animals going to eat us?” she asked (again!!!). “No way! But if a grizzly bear is going to attack us, we have the toys with powers, especially the blue box with the unicorn, remember?”. “Oh, yes! But, Teo, one last question: what are going to look out for in this expedition?” Miriam asked. “Well...Something special, we’ll see!” Teodora said.
Soon after that, evening came. It was time to put up the tent...Teodora put up their tent, while Miriam collected some wood for their fire. After that, the two sisters started to eat. They ate some sandwiches with cheese and meat, two slices of pizza, one slice of chocolate pancake and the two slices of the strawberry cake. It was so delicious! Miriam gobbled up all her elephant biscuits and her Kinder chocolate, too!
Before bedtime, Teodora and Miriam looked up at the stars. They were so twinkly! Miriam missed mom and dad...”Teo, are you sure that we will get back home safe?” she asked. Teodora smiled. “Of course, Miri, nothing bad isn’t going to happen to us! I’m going to protect you, I promise!” she said and then went in the tent with her little sister.
That night was a very strange one!...Miriam was very scared and she got more scared when she heard a wolf...Teodora thought in her mind: “Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to go in the expedition after all...”. Soon after that, Teodora and Miriam heard a strange laugh...Who was out there? The two sisters got out to find out, but they didn’t find anything...So they went back to sleep...
The very next morning Teodora put the tent back in her rucksack and started to walk again with Miriam. Teodora hoped that they’ll find something special as soon as possible...After a while, they heard the laugh again. “Oooohh, this laugh is annoying me!!! Who is laughing like a...witch?” Teodora asked with a loud voice. “Me, who else?” a voice said and in front of Teodora and Miriam appeared Dark Angel, Dorky Boy, Empty Head and...The Witch!...Miriam shouted when she saw The Witch...”Teo, we’re in danger! Please save me from these...these...” she said, but Dark Angel interrupted her. “These disgusting and ugly and revolting creatures, eh? You call us “creatures”, eh? You’re going to pay for all these!”. “Oh, don’t you dare to do something to me and Miriam! By the way, we are protected with our toys!” Teodora said. Dorky Boy started to laugh just like a dorky boy...”Toys? Toys?! This is so strange! You and your scared and ugly little sister are so stupid!!!” Dorky Boy said and he started to laugh again. “Oh, yeah? Well, maybe you didn’t know, but these toys are very special. They’ve got magic powers!” Teodora said and showed her pink Angelina Ballerina rucksack. Then, after that, she got out from her rucksack the little blue box with the unicorn. She opened it and a spell flew from inside the box and went straight ahead to Empty Head and froze her...along with her empty head...The Witch got angry! “That’s it! I can’t take it anymore those horrible girls!” she said, shouting very loudly. Then, she started to say a spell, known just by her...”May this spell take those annoying girls in a cave, locked in there forever!” The Witch said and, suddenly, Teodora and Miriam woke up somewhere else...They were in the cave! It was so scary...and cold!...Miriam sat on a big, gray rock and started to cry. “We’re never going to see our mommy and daddy again!!!” Miriam shouted sadly and tears rolled down her cheeks and her nose. Teodora was thinking. What was she going to do? They were trapped in an old cave and there was no way out...Oh, why do they have to go in this expedition? They didn’t even find something nice and special! Teodora wanted to have fun in her expedition and to see Miriam happy. She thought that she might find something very beautiful, but...Everything was ruined!...Miriam came closer to Teodora. “Teo, I’m scared! Are we going to get out from this cave? Are we going to defeat The Witch and her horrid helpers? Are we ever going to see our mom and dad again?” Miriam asked her big sister, still crying and sobbing. Teodora didn’t know what to do...But, then, she decided...”Our expedition isn’t over! We still got a chance to find something special in this cave, trust me! Maybe, at the same time, we’re going to find a way out of here! And, don’t worry, I’ll deal with The Witch, Dark Angel, Empty Head and Dorky Boy myself! Now, come on, our expedition waits for us!” Teodora said and started to go deep in the cave. Miriam, with a little bit of courage, said: “I’m so proud to have such a big and brave sister!”. After that, she ran after Teodora to catch her.
I’m sure that you will not believe me, but the two sisters found some little people in the cave! Yes, little people! I’m really saying the truth! I knew it that you wouldn’t believe me! But you will see that I am right when I’m going to tell you how Teodora and Miriam found those little people...
So...The two sisters were walking and walking and walking and walking, but still they didn’t find anything interesting...But Teodora wasn’t giving up so soon, she knew that there was something nice and special inside that cave. She could feel it! Soon after that Miriam and Teodora heard a soft voice. “Who could that be?” Miriam asked, scared. And then, they saw...five little people were coming straight ahead to them! All of them were wearing red suits. “AAAARRGH! Fire ants, help me! Somebody!!!” Miriam screamed. One of the little people (a soldier) came in front of Teodora and Miriam and shouted: “Intruders, surrender!”. Miriam surrendered, but Teodora not. “Wait a minute, we’re not intruders! We’re just...tourists!” Teodora said. “Are you saying the truth?” the soldier asked. “Cross my heart and hope to die!” Teodora said and crossed her heart. “Okay, then. I suppose you can visit our king of Tyrra, King Theodore!” the soldier said and turned around to show Teodora and Miriam the way to Tyrra. “This is just like in “Gulliver’s Travels” book, written by Jonathan Swift!” Teodora said amazed. “Cool. Wait, who’s Jonathan Swift? And what’s this book called “Gulliver’s Travels”?” Miriam asked. Teodora rolled her eyes. Really, what can you expect from a 4-year old girl?
Soon after that, Teodora and Miriam arrived in Tyrra. Teodora was thinking. “A kingdom in a cave? This is strange!...”. All the little people gazed and gazed at the two giant girls. They have never seen something strange like that! Teodora was very surprised when she saw the castle. It was a wonderful and big castle, indeed! And there, in the tiny rose garden were the king and queen with their little daughter, Princess Kirsty. She was running in all the directions like a maniac child and she was screaming, too! As I said earlier, what can you expect from little children?...The king was very politely and welcomed Teodora and Miriam in his kingdom. “I’m really sure that you are not here to destroy our beloved kigdom, Tyrra!” King Theodore said. “Oh, yes, Your Majesty. Me and my sister were just walking in the cave and we’ve met with your...tiny soldiers.” Teodora said, looking at the “fire ants”. “How dare you call me a tiny soldier?!” the soldier (the one that talked earlier with the two girls) asked angry. “Calm down, old friend! You don’t have to be angry on our visitors! Now, then, I believe you have some names...” King Theodore continued. “Oh, yes, of course! I’m Teodora and this is Miriam, my cute little sister!” Teodora said. “How nice! We were just preparing for our feast to celebrate Princess Kirsty’s birthday! Would you like to join us?” King Theodore asked. “Why, yes, Your Majesty! It will be a great pleasure to stay at your feast for a while! But, the problem is that we don’t have any gift for the little princess...” Teodora said, worried. “No problem!” the king said. But the princess was already looking angry at Teodora...and Miriam, too...”My darling, don’t be like that! I’m not going to buy your pink pony!” the queen said to her daughter. The princess, when she heard that, got sad. She didn’t want to lose her wonderful gift from her wonderful mother, didn’t she?
It was great at the feast! While Miriam was having fun with Princess Kirsty, King Theodore and Queen Clover showed Teodora a giant iced cube and inside that cube were...were...Vlad, Teodora, Andreea, Cezara and Rares...iced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “What...what happened with them?” Teodora asked, shocked. “We found this cube very near to our kingdom, Tyrra! Next to it, there were some bad...enemies called: Dark Angel, Empty Head, Dorky Boy and The Witch!” the king said. “Oooohh, that’s it! I’ve had enough with those stupid enemies!” Teodora said. She said goodbye to the king and queen (she promised that she will visit them again...one day...) and left Tyrra with Miriam. The last words heard by the little people were: “But what about the cake?” (of course, Miriam asked that question).
Teodora and Miriam defeated with luck The Witch and her horrid helpers with the magic toys in their fight 2 (see “The Fight”, also written by me!) and the iced cube melted, so Teo’s and Miri’s BEST friends were free. Mom and dad (who were watching everything in their magic ball) were proud of their little daughters! Miriam hugged Teodora and said: “You are the best sister ever!!! You made this expedition really adventurous, we found little people and defeated our enemies! I’m really proud to have such a BIG sister!”. Teodora was happy...Her friends approached. “What happened here, Teo?” Cezara asked. “Nothing, absolutely nothing! Everything is all right...absolutely all right!” Teodora said and smiled at Miriam. Everything was all right now, indeed!...
