A Story about Winnie the Pooh by Teodora Leon

One day, Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin’s favorite toy, went to the Honey Tree to have a little smackerel of honey, of course. When he arrived, he saw the bees. "Oh, my! Here’s the Honey Tree! Where is the Honey Tree, there are the bees and there should be honey, too.” Winnie giggled and he was looking forward to having some honey. He started to climb the tree. When it got to the beehive, he looked in, but... there was no honey! "But... but... where is the honey?" Winnie asked himself, sad. "Oh, you’re here again, Mr. Bear?" asked the leader of the bees. "Well, there is no honey now. It had disappeared, but I don’t know how." Winnie got down from the tree and trudged home feeling hungry and very, very sad. After a while, he saw Piglet, his best friend. "Hi, Winnie! Oh, why are you sad?" "Well, Piglet, it’s a sad story, but maybe you don’t care about this...” "Please, tell me, I want to know what had happened!’’ said Piglet. "All right. Well, this morning I went to the Honey Tree to have a little smackerel of honey, but one of the bees told me... that there is no... honey!” sobbed Winnie. "Oh, d-d-dear! Maybe a Heffalump stole the honey! Winnie, I’m so scared! Hmmmm... maybe Tigger or Rabbit know what to do...” suggested Piglet. "Good idea, Piglet! Sometimes you’re really smart!” exclaimed Winnie. He and Piglet went to Rabbit’s house. There was Tigger, too, looking at Rabbit’s beautiful garden. "Oh, hello, Pooh Bear and Piglet. Did you come to see my very precious and enormous pumpkin?” asked Rabbit. "No Rabbit, we have a big problem. Winnie, tell them the story.” said Piglet. Winnie told them the story. When he finished, Tigger said: "I’ve got an idea! We can find the honey in The Land of Milk and Honey!” "Nonsense, this land doesn’t exist! It’s just a story.” said Rabbit. "I’ll prove it to you that it's real! Get ready tomorrow to go to the land. I have to go now to make my backpack. TTFN, ta-ta for now!” said Tigger.
The next day, Winnie, Piglet, Tigger and Rabbit went to find the land. Tigger showed his map. "This map will take us to The Land of Milk and Honey!” he said. The trip took two hours and twenty minutes. When they arrived in the land, there were many teddy bears. Lots of them were making honey. Winnie was surprised. He went to a teddy bear. He said: "Hi teddy bear, I want to take some honey. In my forest, the bees have lost their honey so I came here to borrow some.” The teddy bear said: "We will like to give you some honey, but first you have to find The Sweet Gem.” "But where’s The Sweet Gem?’’ asked Rabbit. "It is in The Red Lava.” said the teddy bear. "Is it s-s-scary there or d-d-dangerous?’’ asked Piglet. "It is not so scary or dangerous there, but you must be attentive." Winnie with his friends went to The Red Lava. They entered a secret door that Tigger had founded. They saw the lava and above the lava there was The Sweet Gem. Tigger bounced high and caught the gem. Suddenly, an earthquake started. "Look out below!” shouted Winnie, running as fast as he could. The others ran after him. After one minute, the lava got out from the big volcano. When Winnie was running, the gem got out from his hands and sparkled. Its magical sparkling flew to the lava and stopped it. Winnie and his friends were happy and full of cheer. They got back to the teddy bear to give The Sweet Gem. "Thank you so much! I will give you a lot of honey." the teddy bear said. He gave Winnie many jars of honey. Winnie thanked him. "I will tell the bees to make some other honey.” said the teddy bear. Winnie thanked again and went home with his friends. "Thank you everybody that you helped me to take honey from the land!’’ said Winnie. That adventure made Winnie to feel proud and happy forever!
Don’t forget to take a little smackerel of honey, too! The End
