It was summer in London. Harry Potter was with his uncle, his aunt and his annoying cousin, Dudley. As usual, Dudley was teasing Harry: “This year you will not go to that silly school!” or “One day, your friends will leave you. They will realize that you are the most stupid person in the whole world!”. But Harry wasn’t listening to him. He was much more interested in reading his new book from Hagrid, “The Secrets of Merlin The Wizard”. When Harry’s uncle saw that book, he became angry. “I don’t want any silly books about magic things or spells in my house!” he yelled one day. But, as I said earlier, Harry wasn’t paying any attention to anyone.
Sometimes he missed his best friends, Ron and Hermione. He wished that he could invite them to his birthday party. But, of course, Harry’s uncle didn’t let him have a birthday party or to invite any of his friends, especially the ones that come from magic families (with powers).
It was only one week until Harry’s birthday and Harry had an unexpected visit from Ron and Hermione one night. Ron threw a rock in Harry’s window to wake him up. And he did. Harry woke up scared. He looked at the window. It wasn’t broken, but still, someone threw something into it. Harry opened the window door and saw his friends in the garden. “Ron? Hermione? What are you doing here?” Harry asked from the window surprised. “We’ve come to get you! We know that you hate to stay with your uncle and aunt...” Hermione said. “And your cousin, Danny, Dumpty... whatever his name is...” Ron said. “Dudley... or should I say: Humpty Dumpy?” Harry said and he and Ron started to laugh. “Stop laughing, you two! We don’t want to wake up Harry’s uncle, do we?” Hermione said. “Hermione’s right. I must get out of here, but how?” Harry asked. “With my dad’s car, of course!” Ron said. “Oh, no, not again!” Harry said. “Don’t worry, Ron’s dad let us this time to get the car. But we’ve got to be back until the sunrise.” Hermione said. “There is no much time left! We must hurry. I’ll pack my things really quickly and take Hedwig, too!” Harry said, closed the window door and started to pack his clothes in silence. In the meantime, Ron started the car and flew with it at Harry’s window. Harry opened the window again and jumped inside the car with his suitcase and Hedwig. Finally Harry left that horrible house...
Hermione, Ron and Harry got to Ron’s house before sunrise. “Hurry, we don’t want to wake up Mrs. Weasley, don’t we?” Hermione asked. Harry and Ron nodded. They parked the car next to the house and got inside tip toeing. Ron’s older brothers were in the living room with Ginny, Ron’s youngest sister. “Hi, Ron. Where have you been?” Ginny asked. “I’ve taken Harry from his horrible house with Hermione... Hasn’t dad told you about this?” Ron asked surprised. “No...” one of Ron’s brothers said. “Will you talk a little bit slower? You’re going to wake up mom!” Ron said in a whisper. “Don’t worry about her, she’s not sleeping anymore. She is worried that you wouldn’t come safe. But I can see that you drove the car really well...” Ginny said. “Of course, it’s much better than the second year, you know...” Ron said. Harry shivered. He remembered the incident with the car on the first day of the second year. It was horrible!
Ron’s mom came downstairs from her bedroom. She was surprised to see Ron, Harry and Hermione. “Ron, thank goodness you’re safe!” she said. “I’m okay, mom, I’m not twelve anymore!” Ron said, rolling his eyes. “Oh my, it’s so nice to see you again, Harry. And Hermione, of course. I didn’t expect such visitors today...” Mrs. Weasley said. “Don’t worry about me, Mrs. Weasley. I will only stay for breakfast.” Hermione said. “Where is dad?” Ron asked. “He went to work one hour ago. He will be back in the afternoon. Now, come on everyone, it’s breakfast time!” Ron’s mom said and went into the kitchen to prepare the food. “Are you sure your mom wouldn’t mind staying with you again?” Harry asked worried. “Relax, she said to me that it’s such a pleasure having you in our house! Her exact words...” Ron said, crossing his heart.
Breakfast was very good. Mrs. Weasley prepared English breakfast for everyone and some milk with cereal for Harry and Hermione, the guests. “Well, I’m off. Thanks for everything, Mrs. Weasley. It was delicious!” Hermione said and left. “So, Harry, are you glad that in two weeks school is starting?” Mrs. Weasley asked. “Of course not, mom, nobody wants to start school!” Fred said. “But think of Harry, Fred. He stays with this terrible family for almost an entire summer holiday. I guess he wants to go to school. Am I right, Harry?” George said. “Absolutely-positively! But I really enjoy staying in your house. Sometimes, I feel like I’m part in this family...” Harry said with a low voice. Mrs. Weasley gasped. “How grand, I’ve never been so appreciated by anyone else!” she said. Everyone smiled...
The two weeks went by so quickly... Harry had so much fun with Ron, Ginny, Fred and George. Sometimes Hermione came to visit. Before the first day of school, all the children bought for them new things (magic wands, different kinds of books, broomsticks). Harry, Ron and Hermione met Draco again at a broomstick shop. “I bet Voldemort catches one of you sooner or later!” Draco said. Harry shivered. Voldemort... his worst nightmare! Ron saw Harry’s reaction. “Don’t listen to Draco. He just teases you!” he said. Harry nodded. Ron was right! He was Harry Potter for goodness’s sake! A popular hero who defeated Voldemort a thousand times! All right, all right, four-five times... but, come on! He shouldn’t be scared of a silly villain, anyway...
The first day of school was bright and cheerful. All the children gathered in front of their dear school. Harry was with Ron, Fred, George, Ginny and Hermione. They were happy! Harry wished that this will be the best school year he ever had, with no problems. But his wish didn’t come true
It all started one evening when everyone was sleeping. The first days had been very good, but when Hedwig brought a strange message, everything changed. Harry was awoken when Hedwig had entered the room through the open window. “Hedwig? What’s wrong?” Harry asked the snowy owl. Hedwig threw the message on Harry’s bed. Harry took it and read it. It was a poem and it was saying:
"I think you remember me,
Your powerful enemy,
Not floating like a butterfly, but stinging like a bee...
I will soon come to you
And none of your wishes will come true!..."
The next morning, Harry showed the strange poem to Hermione and Ron. “It might be Voldemort...” Hermione said. “Are you sure? It might be a new enemy.” Ron said. “Ron, haven’t you read the poem? It says, “I think you remember me/Your powerful enemy” and so on. It’s Voldemort! I’m sure about that!” Hermione said, giving back the poem to Harry. “If he does something bad to my best friend, he will have fight with me! I’ll show him who the boss is, right, Harry?” Ron said. But Harry wasn’t paying any attention. He was thinking about Voldemort. What if he will do something really bad this time? What will happen if he was going to kill him, just like his mom and dad? Some many questions rushed through Harry’s mind that he didn’t even realize that he left Ron and Hermione all alone...
The next few days, the three friends had some fights. Harry wasn’t paying any attention to his buddies anymore and Hermione was most upset. She knew exactly what was wrong with Harry... “I cannot believe that you are afraid of Voldemort who had been defeated all the time by you! If you’re starting to be a scaredy-cat, then I will not stay with you anymore! I don’t want to be laughed that I have a friend who is scared by a stupid villain!...” Hermione said. Harry didn’t respond. “ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME???” Hermione yelled. This time, Harry responded. “Will you shut up? My head is exploding! Sometimes I regret that I am friend with you!” Harry said. Hermione gasped. So did Harry. How could he said something like that? He was, like, being forced to have this fights with his friends... “You know what, Mr. Potter? Next time, when Voldemort catches you, we will not be there for you! Come on, Ron, let’s go!” Hermione said. Ron looked at Hermione, then Harry. He didn’t have any choice... He looked at Harry one last time and then went after Hermione.
From that day on, Harry and Hermione didn’t talk or even look at each other again. Sometimes Ron looked at Harry, but didn’t talk with him. He was afraid that Hermione might find him and be angry with him, too... He felt sorry for Harry...
Voldemort came to Harry’s school on Christmas Eve. Harry was in his room. He just finished the book from Hagrid when he heard a loud shout from the corridors. Then, one by one, more shouts started and grew louder and louder and then, suddenly stopped. It was deep silence in the whole school. Harry got out from his room and went to The Grand Hall where everyone was supposed to celebrate Christmas. Earlier he didn’t want to go thinking that he will meet Hermione. But now, with the shouts coming from there, he had to. When he arrived in The Grand Hall, Harry gasped. All the teachers and all the students were statues. None of them moved. Harry saw Ron and Hermione. Next to them was... Voldemort! “Voldemort!... THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!” Harry shouted. I”m glad you realized this. If you wouldn’t got that message, you wouldn’t knew my arrival sooner or later... and you wouldn’t had the fight between you and your friends.,.” Voldemort said. Harry froze. He looked at Hermione and Ron. One tear rolled on his cheek. “Ron, Hermione... I’m really, really sorry!” Harry said and then looked at Voldemort. “Come on, what are you waiting for? Fight with me!” Voldemort shouted. “I... I haven’t got... anything!” Harry whispered. “What a pity! That means that you will have to... die!” Voldemort said and was approaching Harry with a sword in his hand. But he stopped when he heard a voice: “I think you will die this evening... Voldemort!”. It was Hermione! She was moving. Ron had three swords in his hand. He gave one to Hermione and one to... Harry! “Come on, guys, let’s finish this!” Ron said. The three friends threw the swords towards Voldemort. “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!” shouted Voldemort, but it was too late. When the swords touched him, he disappeared. All the statues were back to life. Nobody knew what had happened. It was just like they forgot anything!... Only Dumbledore knew everything. He approached the three friends. “I’m so proud of you three! I’m sure you could defeat Voldemort without the swords!...” Dumbledore said. “You gave us the swords? But, how? You were a statue!” Ron said surprised. “I can do magic spells even if I’m a statue!” Dumbledore said and winked to Harry. “I will give to each of you five hundred points!” he continued. Harry, Ron and Hermione gasped. But that meant 1.500 points!!! Nobody ever had more than 1.000 points!... “Thank you, professor Dumbledore! Thank you very much!” Harry said. When Dumbledore left, the three friends clapped and cheered. And then, Harry and Hermione looked at each other. “I’m very sorry about what happened!” Harry said. “It’s okay, it was my fault. If I were you, I would have been worried, too!” Hermione said and hugged Harry. “I was just thinking... How did the swords kill Voldemort? He was the most powerful villain in the whole world!” Ron said. “With a bit of Dumbledore’s help, the most powerful professor in the whole world, and our strong friendship, we defeated Voldemort! I’m sure that we will be in history!” Hermione said. Harry smiled. Hermione was right...
From that day on, Harry, Ron and Hermione never had fights anymore! Not a single one...
The End
