The Missing Doll House by Miri and Teo

Pepper Pots N Pans, Patch Treasurechest and Sprinkle Spice Cookie were three siblings who lived together in a big house right in the middle of the Lalaloopsy Land. Pepper was the oldest child. That’s why she had to take care of Sprinkle and keep an eye on her naughty pirate brother... It was a sunny day of May when Pepper was in the town, looking for a birthday present for Sprinkle. Every year she bought her little sister stuffed toys, books and cookies. This time she wanted to get her something special. “Oh dear, what should I buy for her? What should I buy?” Pepper asked herself. “You can buy a doll or even more! A very nice present for young girls, if you ask me. But what’s the occasion, sweetie?” a voice behind her said. Pepper turned around and saw an old woman. She wasn’t that ugly, but she was wearing torn clothes. “Um... It’s my sister’s birthday. She is turning 7 tomorrow and I have to...” Pepper started, but the woman interrupted her. “Goodness gracious, why didn’t you sa

Yellow Minions vs. Purple Minions by Miri and Teo

Kevin and Tom were two minions who worked for Gru. They were very good friends! They always worked together and helped each other. They rarely had fights (which was quite surprising, because minions always fought for a stupid reason). Everyone said that they were like brothers! One day the yellow buddies were playing golf outside. “Come on, Kevin, pass me the ball!” Tom shouted. But the other minion didn’t answer. “The ball? Kevin?” Tom continued, but still there wasn’t any reply coming from his friend. “Holy gelato! Kevin, po ka is wrong with you? Are you bananas?” Tom shouted. “No, I’m alright, I was just wondering if... Well, do you think there are other minions out there?” Kevin said. “Huh, po ka do you mean? We’re all here! It’s just... us.” Tom replied. But he looked unsure. “How do you know? Come on, follow me.” Kevin said. The two friends went to Gru and asked him the same question. They were quite surprised when they heard the answer: “Well, I made you guys a long time ag

Teodora’s Movie Reviews: “How to Train Your Dragon 2” (2014)

Back in 2010, one of my favorite movies was “How to Train Your Dragon”. Being a young kid, I liked dragons very much! They seemed to be awesome animals, if you ask me. I remember the beginning of the first part: “This is Berk. It’s twelve days north of Hopeless and a few degrees south of Freezing to Death. It’s located solidly on the Meridian of Misery. My village. In a word? Sturdy. It’s been here for seven generations, but every single building is new. We have fishing, hunting and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitoes. We have... dragons!” Yes, dragons were a terrible threat to the Vikings. Hiccup, a 15-year-old boy, was the main character of the story. His father, Stoick (Gerard Butler), was the chief of the tribe. Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) had one big wish: to kill a dragon and become a Viking. One evening he managed to capture a Night Fury, a very dangerous and rare dragon. The only problem was that Hiccup co

Teodora’s Movie Reviews: “Maleficent” (2014)

“Maleficent” is a movie which presents a new version of Walt Disney’s animated film called “Sleeping Beauty”. The movie was released this year, on the 30th of May. It is directed by Robert Stromberg. The first line of the film is “Let us tell an old story anew and see how well you know it.” The story is seen from a different perspective and it starts like this: a pretty, young fairy is flying above her enchanted land, the Moors, greeting the magical creatures with a sweet voice. The fairy is, of course, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie). One day, at the borders of the kingdom, the little girl meets a boy named Stefan (Sharlto Copley). Even though he is caught stealing something, Maleficent forgives him and falls in love with him. The two of them become very good friends. Stefan has feelings for Maleficent as well, but unfortunately he has another big wish: to become the king of the human land. When Maleficent turns 16, she and Stefan share their first true love’s kiss. But as they grow o
