One day, Strawberry Shortcake, Angel Cake, Rainbow Sherbet, Blueberry Muffin, Apple Dumplin, Cherry Blossom, Cherry Cake, Plum Pudding, Banana Candy and Watermelon Kiss were having a picnic. Strawberry brought some sandwiches filled with strawberry jam. Angel Cake, Rainbow Sherbet and Blueberry Muffin had brought some muffins. Apple Dumplin brought some apples, Cherry Blossom with her little sister, Cherry Cake, brought some cherries. Plum Pudding, Banana Candy and Watermelon Kiss brought some plums, puddings, bananas, candies and watermelons. When they finished eating, they didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, Strawberry said: “Hey, I’ve got an idea! We can go on an expedition!” “That’s a good idea, Strawberry, but what can we do in this expedition?” asked Angel Cake. “Well... I don’t know. I haven’t thought about that!” Strawberry said. Everybody thought for a moment. “We can go to The Land of Sweets!” Rainbow Sherbet suggested. "Good idea! But how we’re gonna get there? The Land of Sweets is far away. And we don’t even know where it is!” Blueberry Muffin said. “I may have a map that will help us go to The Land of Sweets. Follow me!” Apple Dumplin said. Everybody followed Apple to her house. When they entered the house, they saw many books, maps and some toys. “There it is! This is the map that will help us go to The Land of Sweets.” Apple announced, showing the map. Everybody looked on the map. “OH MY GOD! It is a long way to get to the land!” Cherry Blossom said with big eyes. “We can go there with a boat, but we will have to take lots of food and some bottles with water.” Cherry Cake said. “Brilliant, Cherry Cake, brilliant!” shouted Plum Pudding. “Why didn’t we think of that before? Cherry Blossom, sometimes you’re sister can be very smart!” Plum Pudding continued. “Thank you, Plum!” Cherry Blossom said and looked happy at Cherry Cake. “Girls, tomorrow, we start the expedition!” announced Strawberry. “Wait, we have to make the boat first!” Banana Candy said. “Oh, I almost forgot!” Strawberry said, rolling her eyes. “I’ve got some wood to make the boat!” Watermelon Kiss said. “I could bring them here or you all could come to my house.” Watermelon Kiss continued. “We can come to your house.” Strawberry said. “Okay, follow me!” Watermelon said. Her house was a big watermelon and her garden was full of watermelons, too! “Oh, I forgot to take the watermelons from my garden! Never mind, I will take them, put them in my house and then, of course... eat them! Yummy!” Watermelon said, licking her lips. “So, where’s the wood for the boat?” asked Angel. “Over there. I’ve got enough to make a nice, big boat! And, remember, we don’t have to put a lot of things in the boat because if we do, the boat could be too heavy and we could sink!” Watermelon said. “Don’t worry, Watermelon, we didn’t forget about this!” Rainbow said. After that, all the girls started to work for the boat. They finished the boat in an hour. “It was not so hard!” Blueberry said. “If we work together, we finish everything quickly!” Strawberry said. “That’s right! Now, don’t forget everybody: tomorrow, at 8:30 A.M., we bring some food, but not so much and we are going in the expedition!” Strawberry continued. “Oh, I can’t wait!” Apple said, jumping with delight and clapping her hands.
The next day everybody met by the river with some fruits and candies to eat. Strawberry and Watermelon pushed the boat in the water. Everybody put the food in the boat and they found inside that they were some oars. “I made them with the rest of the wood before I went to sleep.” Watermelon said. After that, they picked up the oars and they started to row. “Have you got the map, Apple?” asked Cherry Blossom. “Yes, it’s right here!” Apple said. After one hour and forty minutes the girls stopped to eat something. “Where are we now?” asked Cherry Cake. “I think we are in The Fairies Sugar Land.” Apple said, looking in the map. “What is over there?” asked Plum. “Oh goodness, they’re some fairies!” Banana said. She looked suprised. The fairies were made of sugar. “Hello, little girls, what are you doing?” asked one of the fairies. “We are going to The Land of Sweets and we stopped here to eat!” Watermelon said. “Oh, can we come, too?” asked the second fairy. “Sure, come!” Strawberry said. After they finished eating, they went back to the boat. Soon they were getting closer to The Land of Sweets. The girls saw a big gate. Suddenly they heard a voice: “If you want to get in The Land of Sweets, you have to find the key. The key is in The Land of Oranges or in The Land of Lemons. You have to look for the key.” “Oh no, we have to look for the key now? I’m exhausted!” Angel said. “Come on, girls, if we want to get in the land we have to look for the key.” Rainbow said. They started to look for it in The Land of Lemons first, but they didn’t find the key, so they went to The Land of Oranges. They found the key there in a tree. When they opened the gates, the water transformed into chocolate. Everything around them was made of chocolate and sweets. The girls and the fairies were happy that they finally arrived. They stayed there three days. Everybody had fun, especially Strawberry Shortcake!
